the houses will be arranged around several greens, orienting the community to more front yard living, and creating a true neighborhood feeling.

    Old Ridge will feature single-family homes of 2,000 to 3,000 square feet. Prices will range from $230,000 to $290,000. "It's a beautiful 94-acre site," Pendry states. "I think it has a wonderful site plan and exciting architecture. There are lots of village greens, so that, while the houses are close together, there will be a sense of space and community for families and for raising children. It will be reminiscent of New England traditions."

    Carriage House Crossing will be an enclave of 18 homes in Trumbull, Connecticut. Several of the homes will offer a first floor master bedroom plan with square footages ranging from 1,900 to 2,400 square feet, and walk out basements will be available on select home sites.

    In addition, Summit has several other projects under development. For example, "We have another 100-acre piece of property in Monroe, Connecticut, where we are before the Town's Planning and Zoning Commission for a 105-unit, single-family development targeted for active adults."

    The projects that Summit has developed also provide Pendry with great personal satisfaction in addition to being successful and providing a great home at a great value to Summit's buyers. "I think we have added an ingredient of design and aesthetics to each community," he says. "From the customers' perspective, it is their largest purchase; it's something that everyone gets very excited about and it is fun to build peoples dreams. I think I enjoy it because it's so real," he says. "At the end of the day you can walk outside with your team and everyone can see what has been accomplished." Building quality homes at affordable prices is James Pendry's highest goal.
